23-Another Day in the Frontal Lobe by Katrina Firlik

Frilik, one of very few women in a field dominated by men, recounts her 7 years of training in neurosurgery. She explains, illuminates, and postulates. Her writing is frank yet sensitive, bold but humble, serious but not humorless.

Frilik is passionate about her work and her compassion toward the plight of her patients is evident throughout her book.

A very good read.
