29—Three Men in a Boat, To Say Nothing of the Dog by Jerome K. Jerome

A humorous story of three men who go for a two week boating trip on the Thames. Written in the first person, the narrator leads us from the decision of the three self-absorbed friends to go on the trip, to preparations for the outing, to the journey itself. The book is filled with comic narrative and, historical descriptions of the ports they visit.

An enjoyable read.

The book was first written in 1889 and can be read in its entirety on line.
