33—The Wrong Mother by Sophie Hannah

Sally Thorning had a week long affair a year ago and she hadn't thought about it till she hears on the news that the wife of the person with whom she liaisonned has killed their daughter and committed suicide. However, when she sees the man's photo on the telly she knows he is not the man she spent a week with.

The novel started slowly for me but the pace picked up after the 1st 100 pages or so. It is filled with enough twists and turns and unexpected events to keep the reader guessing through to the end.
