19—American On Purpose, The Improbable Adventures of an Unlikely Patriot by Craig Ferguson

Sherry and I used to watch Late Night with Craig Ferguson. We would record it and watch yesterday's program today. He is funny and his skits are hilarious. I especially like his spot-on impersonations of Michael Caine and Sean Connery. I recommend him to you. Unfortunately we record a lot of other programs as well. We only watch an hour or so of TV a night and unfortunately Craig's show got moved to the bottom of the list.

Ferguson is an Scottish immigrant turned naturalized citizen. He is a recovering alcoholic and drug user and he is brutally honest about his addictions. He's been sober 10 or 12 years.

In addition to his comedic talents Ferguson is an actor, screen writer and author. He writes really well and engages the reader from the first words.

In American on Purpose, Ferguson tells of his life growing up in Scotland. his journey with alcohol and drugs, and his love of the United States.

This is a highly readable and entertaining insight to the man.
