Dr. Marc Seidman wakes up in the hospital after being in a coma for 12 days. He had been shot by an intruder and left for dead. The same intruder had killed his wife and stolen his daughter. Soon after he was released from the hospital, his father-in-law receives a ransom note. And thus begins an 18 month saga of his efforts to find his wife's killer and his child.
