The Bourne Sanction is the latest thriller based on Robert Ludlum's the Bourne Identity. Ludlum created Bourne in 1980 and two other Bourne books followed. After Ludlum died in 2001 Van Lustbader took over the series.
This book reads as if it were written for Brad Pitt. There is one action scene after another so much so that the reader may have to put the book down to catch her/his breath.
Bourne as Superman.
Jason Bourne is continually beating his way out of near death situations, getting mauled, bruised, choked, knifed, and shot yet like the energizer bunny he keeps coming back for more. His injuries just don't phase him.
That said, it's a suspenseful book with a somewhat convoluted plot which comes together, nicely at the end.
