In this, the 2nd book of Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series, installment Martin continues the saga which began in The Game of Thrones. All the elements are there but I had to struggle to keep the characters straight. The intrigue, the deceptions, the different families, the battles, who's sleeping with whom all make for an interesting read.
